high five [/ QUOTE ] Great post, traz. You're sooo right, I hear this in movies all the time. It really shows a lack of creativity on the part of the writers... I mean, damn how often are we gonna have to hear someone say "high five" in a movie? Quality contribution, man. |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
[ QUOTE ]
In a courtroom... "This is highly unorthodox. YOU BETTER BE GOING SOMEWHERE WITH THIS!" [/ QUOTE ] This reminds me of Law and Order. In every single episode of that show, for the last twenty years, there's a scene where they want to obtain records from a doctor's office/lawyer's office/dentist. When the person says, "Don't you need a warrant?," one of the cops says something to the effect of, "Well, we could get a subpoena for all your records and take a few days to scour through them, or you could just give us the file we're looking for." |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
In the event of an extended misunderstanding, the person who has the wrong idea starts overzealously explaining the wrong thing to the person who knows what's going on, and the person that knows what's going on tries to interrupt them, only to be stifled with - "Shh, let me finish"
I hate that every time. |

Re: Overused Movie Lines
"I was born ready"
Actually, this is basically the only reason I want to see Ocean's 13. George Clooney: Are you ready? Andy Garcia: ...I was born ready. Me watching preview: *Rolls eyes* George Clooney: *Rolls eyes* Me watching preview: "YES!" Also, "This is what you trained for!" and "GO GO GO" |
