Default Phil Ivey Heads Up with nothing....go figure

First off let me say that a lot of you have already seen this footage, as it has been out for quite a while. I just ran across it again a couple of days ago and it’s pretty amazing. If anyone thinks they can questions the ability of Phil Ivey then think again and take a look.

Phil is the King!!!!!!!!!!

It'd be more interesting if Phil was actually behind in the hand. He assumed he had the best hand - he was right. Not really rocket science heads-up with a JJ7 board given how his opponent played the hand.

I would tend to agree but being able to see both players hole cards makes it a lot easier to make that call. Who is to say that the guy couldn’t have king rag.

Eh, sorry. I've seen this a lot of times, the first time I saw it, I thought it was the best poker ever, since then, I've become smarter, and I've analyzed it a bit more. Every thing Paul Jackson did indicated he had nothing. really, everything they both did indicated they had nothing. These small little re-raises - by the 65th raise, you're just going all in, you aren't re-re-re^63-raising.

Anyways, Phil Ivey had about 65X the chips Paul Jackson had, so going all in there wasn't really a risk.

Ugh I'm sick and tired of seeing this clip. Phil knew Paul didn't have the jack because Paul was constantly slowplaying his big hands throughout the tournament and I think Paul made some comment before being heads up that he wanted to outplay Phil in a hand or something.
Not amazing at all considering all the factors; actually I would go so far and say it's standard.
