Default **The Official NY-Boston Weekend Series Thread**

Fri: Pettitte (NYY) vs. Schilling (BOS)
Sat: Karstens (NYY) vs. Beckett (BOS)
Sun: C. Wright (NYY) vs. Dice-K (BOS)

Obviously, Boston has a huge advantage in the pitching matchups and the Yanks will need to get to the BoSox bullpen to have any chance of winning this series.

Another main question will be how Karstens and Wright can handle the pressure of pitching at Fenway, especially Sunday night on national television.

My prediction is tonight's winner will determine who wins the series, because I think the Yanks will steal one of the Sat/Sun games.

Note: I feel this series can warrant enough discussion to merit its own thread - if not, feel free to delete mods.

Sox have given up 3 or fewer runs in the past 9 games. It'll be interesting to see how they do against an incredible offense.

My completely biased opinion is Sox take 2 of 3.

I predict lots of trash talking in this thread.

BOS 2/3, all 3 of those guys are pitching well. The Yankees offense is nasty, but Arod is hitting so well right now that he's covering up some other problems. not that it really matters I guess.

I predict A-Rod will come up to bat in the 9th inning with the chance to be the hero again...and he will fail.

The NY media jumps on his back, which gets into his head, and the downward spiral will begin/pick up where it left off last October.

It is still April. I'll come through; it's a contract year.

Puffy, your loc: is just awful, but I don't think even the NY media can jump on him if he doesn't come through 1 time.

But...Go Sox!!!

Yanks will sweep behind 8 HR by A-Rod.

I think A-rod is gonna have a bad series and only hit 3.

Yankee fans liking Arod now? It's almost like he is a great player who has been great every yr he's been in NY and Yankee fans have ridiculous expectations which are impossible to meet. I really think if Arod has 0 homers this series he'll get criticized, which is kinda sick.

i dont expect much from matsuzaka to tell you the truth. his results have been good so far, but he's faced some real hacking teams that helped him out. bigtime test.

Just because I've got a Yankee 'tar doesn't mean I boo him when he doesn't hit a homerun per game.
