Sadly, I don't see this happening. For one thing, no way the gym moves from the Mod's Playground any time soon that I could imagine. Secondly I just don't think there is enough interest to warrant a golf forum, even if temporary. I'd love to be wrong about this, i.e. maybe more exposure is all the forum would need, but my experience with major tournament threads in the Sports forum is that most of them don't even get rolling until Sunday.

I hope you keep fighting the good fight, though. There's plenty of examples around here of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, whether it deserves it or not.

I talked to Mat about it and it looks like golf is probably going to be the next mod's playground. Depending on popularity and quality it may live longer than that.

I'm super tired of seeing this thread marked unread because someone ninja bumped it so I am forced to post, which I hate to do.

Anyway, the golf forum is getting approximately 2000X more traffic than I ever thought it would, but I imagine it will die down once everyone is done spewing about their equipment, skill level, etc.
