Golf Forum?

I'd really be interested in having a golf forum here. Would anyone else be interested in having one? It could be used to discuss course, tips, clubs, ect..

I'm probably the biggest golf fan on 2+2, both playing and watching, or at least among a select few. Unfortunately, golf just doesn't get much attention around here - the Sports threads sink like mob snitches in a river and there is not much more than an occasional equipment-type thread in OOT. I'd love to have one but I couldn't imagine the traffic warranting its existence.

OTOH it seems that if you tirelessly campaign for one and bump this thread every few days asking for a progress report then eventually you'll get whatever forum you want.

If you find a mod who likes to golf, you could probably get a stint in the playground.

I think a golf forum would be a good addition, but how could 2p2 do one without then doing a football/basketball/nascar etc thread for all sports? As a aside, I will answer any questions if you PM me (I am a former touring professional that is now a full time teaching pro)

I PMed Matt about having golf in the mod playgroud and he PMed me back saying that if I still wanted it he would make it. I said I would but haven't heard back from him in months since then....

The masters starts April second. About a week before that is probably perfect so please remind Mat around the 23rd so he can have it setup by the 26th.

I like where your head's at.

That said, I've rarely participated in Mod's Playground because it's off the beaten path for me (and anyway I'm removing forums from my rotation, not adding them). As such, I wonder how much traffic/attention it gets, i.e. what percentage of potential posters actually find out about it? Sniper's numbers probably wouldn't help here because of the change of subjects mid-month.

I predict the forum will be sparsely visited but I'm a huge fan of the sport so I hope I'm wrong.
