I don't think they do either. It might be a good idea to actually know what time a [censored] plane takes off if you plan to be on it.

Everyone thought flight was taking off at 9:30 as told by purchaser of tickets (colonel81). Noone asked to see itinerary. Found out flight was taking off at 8:30 while getting ready to leave for airport, rushed to airport and arrived at 8:05, 5 minutes too late to get on flight.

Had to buy a new flight for 9:30. Who should pay cost?

all tickets were etickets and were picked up at the airport the day of so no hard copies. all knew where the trip itinerary printed from the travelsite with all of this information was located. only one asked what time it was. the money is not the concern of my post, although if i did not have to pay for it all would be a plus. i am just curious if this were an insurance company, etc. what % liable would i be.

If they had no way of knowing the correct departure time other than what you told them, you pay it all and apologize for being douchebag enough to string them along on it this long.

If they weren't depending on you for the information and could have gotten to their flight on time even without you saying anything to them, but were unintentionally misled by your bad information, 50/50 since blame is about equally spread around.

everyone pays their own transfer fee and its not even close. I would seriously question the class and character of a 'friend' who asked me to cover the difference were I in your shoes. Even if I were to offer to cover the difference, I would expect my friends to deny the offer based (again) on class/character.

You offer to pay and accept their offer to pay themselves. If they don't offer you pay and label them a douchebag and move on.

This is assuming you all have a relatively equal financial standing. If you >>> them you pay no questions asked.

If you >>> them (financially), you offer to pay and decline their counter to pay themselves.

point being, even if you are rich relative to your friends, they should still offer to pay themselves.

I agree with this answer.
Are they your friends or your children? You were generous enough to do the booking, they were too lazy to even look at the itinerary. Let me know if they expect you to pay and I'll work up a full length rant.

1. its their fault for not knowing their own flight schedule. how 4 people can over look this is beyond me.

2. nobody should pay anything, i've missed 2 flights due to being late or misreading my schedule and was never charged just rebooked for another flight.

3. try america west they have plenty of phx/vegas flights.

it should be evenly divided, you shouldn't have to pay for your friends at all.
