unless there's another cultural revolution like in the 60's we'll probably be listening to quality music from the 60's and on. who knows how many one-hit wonders will still be played but I doubt the good stuff will fade out at all.

[/ QUOTE ] Not an insult - people listen to the music they grow up with. Certainly not exclusively, but a higher percentage of older adults listen to music from the 50's/60's than teenagers. The same will hold true 40 years from now - and if the teenagers of that time listen to today's music, it will likely be some of the better (and popular) music written in the past decade. |

my daughter is 13 and im 99% sure she wouldnt be able to name one beatles song. this isnt a knock against the beatles i just dont think very many of our kids will be listening to the beatles and such.

[/ QUOTE ] Just because you are a bad parent........ My daughters (13 & 9) can easily name at least 20 Beatles songs each. For some reason my youngest's current favorite Beatles tune is Maxwell's Silver Hammer (gonna have to watch that one closely.) In the last 2 months my oldest has asked if she could load Journey, Styx, Queen, Kansas, The Who and one Maiden song on her iPod. Kids are curious and they will find music that they enjoy, not matter what the. |
