What current music will still be listened to in 30-40 years?
I was going through my music collection recently and thought about how much of it is from the 60's - 70's. After 30-40+ years, many people still listen to the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin, Doors, Dylan, Floyd, Motown, etc.
After thinking about this, I was wondering what current music has the best chance of still being popular three or four decades from now? I'm thinking maybe bands like U2, Chili Peppers and Nirvana (not a current band but still very popular). OOT - which current music do you think will live on in future generations, and why? |

Beck.
Actually, in 40 years, our Scientologist overlords will decree Beck the only permissible form of music. |

86.8% chance I'll be dead, but if not I'll probably be still listening to the same crap from the 70's and 80's that I've always listened to. (other than Arcade Fire, of course)
Oops, thought it was what I'd be listening to. I'll go back to bed now. |
