Default Deep stacked $200NL top pair w/ nut flush draw - raise flop?

Sorry about no converter. I have no reads on the villan, he sat down about 10 hands ago and doubled up immediately. I typically will raise or reraise on this flop with top pair and the nut flush draw. Yet, because it was a pretty scary board and we had some deap stacks I wasn't sure what to do on the turn or river here. Could I have gotten him out of the pot by betting knowing that he has top two?

I doubt the river being a 3 will change too much based on how I played it. I might be more inclined to call a half-pot bet, but I won't go broke here.

Anyone think I needed to continue to bet on turn and river? Thanks,

lp

Any reason you like 50 better than 78? I was just going for a "biggish" raise. Just curious, thanks.

Also, I am still curious if anyone here continues to bet the turn and river.

I would just call the flop.

You're rarely moving a better hand off, you might induce bluffs, and you keep the pot managable, while preventing yourself from getting blown off your draw.

I didn't think so Jim, but I was just curious since this was a "scary board" for a hand like top-two. I think that calling might not have been a bad idea here, because even if a heart falls, I am likely to get some money out of him.

Villian was not scared, on the flop or turn. He missed a check/raise on the turn, and then the river scared him, or he thought he was more likely to induce a bluff than get called by a worse hand.

Plus, you basically have pot odds, and BB might tag along with a draw of some kind (hopefully flush) if you just call.

BTW: Hand Converter, and don't post results in the OP.

raise >> call

1. we move off small aces (not very likely holding)
2. we give us a freecard.
3. it doesnt look like we have the flush and it is more likely that we get called when a flushcard hits.
