I would only bet 5th. And definatly check river. villain has A748 showing so he is likely to have abit low (maybe even 9-J low) with wich he will probadly call. Him being so stupid not to bet doesn't mean he wont call.

I really can't fault a player for not bluffing into a 1.5BB pot on the river if he in fact has trash and has checked the whole way down. You see where it got Chips, don't ya?

Bet 4th, raise 5th if you can. (Wow, I must be really bad at this, I am always betting A2[3]2A like a maniac and winning.) You guys at high stakes check when you pair? Guess it's good I'm stuck at 1/2.

I check a lot when I pair, but I also check fairly frequently when I don't, but I believe that my opponent has a hand of very similar strength than mine. It is awful to check and let your opponent draw if he's got a 3 card hand and you have a 4 card hand, but if you have similar 4 card hands, betting is ev neutral and checking can be +ev for later streets.

Anyway, checking 4th often conceals when I have actually paired. I check-raise some times too.
