Default 25NL - 2 overpair hands, line check

Villain is 28/8/1.55 over 100 hands

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $13.40
BB: $37.65
Hero (UTG): $32.75
MP: $21.80
CO: $19.75
BTN: $14.05

Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $0.85, MP calls $0.85, CO folds, BTN calls $0.85, SB calls $0.75, BB folds

Flop: ($3.65) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3.00, 2 folds, SB calls $3.00

Turn: ($9.65) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $9.55

He's got less than PZ bet left and I think I have a lot of FE equity as well as most likely the best hand.

The first hand, well played. The other guy's stack size of around 50BB means it's perfectly appropriate to get all-in here.

The second hand, I think you were being a bit greedy in going for three streets of value against a 14/11/2. As played it's a difficult decision. I would lean towards folding because he thinks you have to call, and therefore you probably shouldn't. There was no flush draw on the flop, and I don't think a 14/11 calls your raise with QT, so I don't buy that he's hit his straight draw on the river. I think it's more likely that he flopped a set of nines or fives and just decided to let you hang yourself.

I would have check-called a reasonable bet on the river, or even checked the turn given the dry board.

Hand one is fine; put him AI on turn.

Hand two if you bet the river you must call this AI as you do. However I check-call here a bit too.

Well second hand I didnt really want to bet river, but he's bluffing me here so often if I check...Actually I see you point, if I check he's more than likely not betting more than pot here, and if I am behind it would end up a bit cheaper.

I dont get the the check on the turn though?

You cant get 3 streets of value from this guy imo... checking the turn probablly lets you get 2-good streets and might make him call lighter on the river.

What scallop said. One approach is to get him in a position where he concludes that your flop bet was a continuation bet and that you're giving up on the turn, i.e., check the turn and then call reasonable bets from there, although you don't really want to call two large-ish bets.

Alternatively, make him think you're giving up on the river and encourage a bluff. (Which you then have to call.)

What hands beat you that you have fold equity against in the first hand?
