but but but i have a club
Background: opponent in this hand is pretty solid and not overly aggressive. He just pushed me off AQ on a queen-high flop a few hands before.
On to the real hand. $1100 effective stacks. He makes it $35 from the CO, I make it $120 from the BB with black kings, he calls. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check (??), he thinks for a second and pushes for ~$1000. Now that's unexpected. My move? |

Re: but but but i have a club
I call always call here and since you set this up by checking you have to call, IMO.

I don't understand why you are posting this. I couldn't imagine an easier call.

oh yeah, 5-10 full ring.
and his hand range is pretty narrow IMO.

Re: oh yeah, 5-10 full ring.
do you think he flopped a baby flush?
a set? idk how easy a call this is. what is his range? |

Re: oh yeah, 5-10 full ring.
Grim: if he had a baby flush, I think this is how he would play it, but I don't think he calls the reraise often with small clubs.
He might also play a set in this fashion, and JJ and TT are definitely in his range. I think his most likely hands after my healthy reraise are pairs 10s and up, AK. |

Re: but but but i have a club
there's a couple hands that you're coinflipping with, there's a couple hands that you're a 2-1 dog to, but there's one hand in particular (QQ) that you're way ahead of (and combination-wise it's more likely than JJ/TT).....I think equity-wise this is definitely a call......

Re: but but but i have a club
In my experience, this line screams "I have a redraw if I'm behind." My guess is A clubs with a K, Q or J to go along with it. |
