I think this can only make sense if he has a very high 2nd barrel frequency with both air and draws. And in that case the flop call is even worse than it would be normally.

meaning you think it's dumb? this board is super dry, so if you're ever going to flop there's basically no way you can wait for a gutshot to do it with. obviously i'm usually folding.

i think what he s trying to say, is that the board doesnt hit many hands and if we only call with pairs when he bets little more than half pot, we re folding very often here. i think occasionally making moves on such boards is necessary.

but the move should never be calling.

lead, c/r or fold.

c/c is just bad.

He's now ahead of A2 and A6 which were two of the hands he will likely have you on. AT seems unlikely now that the T repeated. It's a risky call with AK or AQ for villian, but I think the river has increased the likelihood of him making the call to a level where your shove won't show a long term profit, Cheers, Mahogany17.
