Beat: Grade sticker shock
Let me get this straight professor.
I got a B on test 1, a B on test 2, a B on all the homeworks and an A on the final paper that's 75 % of the grade, right there. I nailed the final. This is econ, you either did well on a final or you didn't, it's as simple as that. You know how you did. I got a C-? Do you realize how low of a grade I'd have to get on the final to get a C-? I figured it out for you: Around a 25 %. I find it rather impossible that after getting a B on every piece of material that is covered in the final (there was NO new material on the final, just retesting the old material), as well as studying and reviewing all this material again, that I got a 25 % on the final. So I speak to her. Apparently I really did do this poorly on the final. I requested a meeting with her next semester to review the final and she has not responded. Freaking first year prof screwing up my future BEAT |

Re: Beat: Grade sticker shock
I've had a prof adjust my grade the next semester because of a screw-up. Just do that.

Re: Beat: Grade sticker shock
I had an A- going into an econ final once and my final grade was a D...I freaked out and went to go see the professor and it turns out he didn't count my final exam in the grading and I ended up with an A-.
Check to make sure this doesn't happen to you. |
