Default Call? Cap? Value bet?

Finally had my first day back playing limit for 19 months. Made too many mistakes but was not a disaster.

3 hands for inspection.

Hand 1, Call?

SB is a TAG, likely 2+2 but as I don't know any of your SNs yet. Who knows. He runs 21/17/3 over a small sample and has 3 bet me from SB twice before but as I had my hand in the cookie jar both times (J8s type hands) and couldn't flop anything I gave up quickly.

Pre-Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
3 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises</font>, <font color="red">SB 3-bets</font>, BB folds, <font color="red">Hero caps</font>, SB calls

Flop: (9 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>, SB calls

Turn: (5.5 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: (5.5 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets</font>, Hero folds

Results: 5.5 BB Pot (0.25 BB Rake)
SB mucked and WON 5.25 BB (+2.75 BB NET)

Hand 2, Cap?

A fun hand. BB was 37/27/2.2 and my very suspect flop call was a hope to get a raise from him. Not my best moment of the day to say the least so berate away for that. River cap anyone?

BB checks, <font color="red">UTG bets</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises</font>, <font color="red">BB 3-bets</font>, UTG calls, Hero calls

Hand 3, Value Bet

Far more standard a spot but all I want to know on this one is should I bet the river rather than check-call which was what I was doing. Villain is 55/25/1 over far too few hands to mean anything.

River: (6.5 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks,

Overall had good fun today. Even when I lost every pot at one of my tables for the hour I was totally calm with it. Plenty of hard work to be done on my game I think but certainly back where I belong. Holla!

1: same for me

2: i often just overlimp preflop but whatever. flop is really bad in my opinion. i prefer donking or c/ring. i would never even consider capping the turn or raising the river here against a limp capper on this board, but when UTG just calls the river 3-bet, it becomes a lot closer. but WTF does BB have? i wouldn't cap the river either.

3: standard c/c imo. the value you get from T9/KT/low diamonds betting outweighs the value you get from a worse ace high being in the hand at this point and calling.

Miles do you call hand 1 on river if it is non broadway?

44 pre raise was just a "cause I fancy it" play rather than any routine play. UTG limp capping pre is a slight concern but AA is the only hand he can reasonably have here that beats me so capped turn. Felt it was OK with BB overlay. But accept that maybe too much.

1. standard
2. jam flop srsly, slow down on turn
3. c/c riv. I would only value bet this river if I had a good idea of what to do against a raise. In a small sample against a player that seems spazzy bad you should take a line that guarantees a showdown

i'd probably call since you said the last two times he 3-bet you from the small blind you folded easily postflop

Level?

Flop play is terrible. And by terrible I mean worse than folding AA preflop.

After he 3-bets the turn you loose. Putting in 4 bets on both turn and river would be unbelievable spew. I call down from turn 3-bet.

he's talking about the river. bb should be folding a flush on the river, so when he 3-bets, i can't cap the worst boat.

also obviously i disagree with the flop play being a 3sb mistake.
