I don't see any point in betting, I like a check and see much more.

In theory betting might get some outs to fold, however I think there is a lot of value in not bloating the pot with an auto-bet and not allowing anyone to hide under our action. In any case the turn card is going to be huge and we won't have much of an edge unless we turn good.

problem with this is we check, there's a bet and a raise, we're faced with two cold against what could be a Jack and a big club initiating action. i think we'll get more honest reactions if we fire versus someone else betting.

I definitely think the LRR was right...perhaps this was the best spot for it i've ever seen. The MP player was raising VERY often, but was not likely to 3-bet.

on the flop,

This is what my plan was, although I was wondering if perhaps a Check & CR if bet comes from original preflop raiser (MP2) or later would be better.

True, and that's another reason i didn't check, but thinking about it now, it seems that with as dead as i might be already, even that action might be ok (i.e., folding there wouldn't be a huge mistake). (If the bet and raise came from LP and button, and the blinds folded, I would 3bet for sure.)

I bet, UTG+1, who seemed to be a pretty good player, raised, 2 or 3 more callers, blinds fold, I call. Turn is not the Ace of spades, nor any other card that could reasonably be expected to help anyone.

Check this time? Or bet and hope that UTG1 raises a draw, pushing out other draws?

Hmmm... I think I might have been at your table. What did the MP player look like?

I think you bet out the flop, call a single raise, fold to a 3-bet. Reassess the turn. You're looking for a 4 to pair the board and give you a 2-pair better than J10 or the single Ace. Check the turn and see if people slow down if you don't get one of those.

I just haven't yet seen a table when if I raise anything from UTG1 that I won't get several callers.

Two is more than three. Given:

MP was raising nearly every unraised pot

This is about the most perfect spot possible for an LRR.

I would check the turn and reevaluate the action. I doubt it's getting checked around so dont worry about giving up free cards. You have an easy fold if someone raises a turn bet.

Most perfect spot possible for a LRR if there is one yes,but personally I just don't like to do it.
