so do 1's, well at least you get them from the bank. I think you are forgetting that every businesses (bars, retail stores, gas stations etc) gets lots of ones from the banks.

On the 3rd Thursday of every month (except November when it occurs on the 3rd Wednesday) strippers are required to replenish the banking system's supply of $1 bills.

Guids says businesses are taking ones out. I could see this for some businesses, but for most i would think they are actually bringing ones to the bank. My uncle owns a bunch of dunkin donuts and he will get tons of coins from the bank, but he never needs ones, consumers provide him with enough. I am assuming this is the case for other fast food places.

So my question is: Do these other types of business who need ones provide enough ones for circulation? If not where are they coming from?

Convience stores get ones from the bank all the time. They usually have a little time drop safe in the store for when they run out of ones. they put $25 dollars in the safe and it spits out 25 ones.
