Default Poker and broadband data allowance

Hello,

I'am interested by mobile broadband in uk.
But they are all with data allowance. For example 3GB :

3GB of data lets you: Send 2000 plain text emails AND surf the web for 100hrs AND download 100 two minute videos AND download 200 music tracks.

So the question is : how much poker can I take with 3gb max ?

Thanks by advance
(soory for my english)

I just looked at my stats for Party and even with quite alot of datamining I only have one month where I used more than 3GB of data since January.

I think if you just play, and don't datamine, then even 12-tabling for 8 hours everyday will be less than 1.5GB/month and way less than 3GB/month.

I use to play with a mobile cell connection so I could play from a bar rather then being stuck at home. When my provider started putting data restrictions I tested this.

With 4 tables / no images on Stars I was doing just under 1MB/hr sent and 4-5MB/hr received.

Did you ever get disconnected? I've been thinking about this for a long time, but the idea of it being unstable just puts me off (even one disconnection for 20+ mins/month or 4/5 disconnections of 30+ seconds/month would be too much).

I had some lag but no real disconnects. I'd get the second warning from Stars that it was my turn a lot. I'm in Canada so the network was fairly slow. I was getting 56k dial up speeds or slightly less which eventually just became too annoying. In the States it is apparently faster (same with some parts of Canada but not where I am).

I'm currently using a ISP that has access points at some bars and it works fine but I don't like the restricted locations. Was looking at WIMAX but you need a wall plug for the modem so no patios.

I figure if IPhone will come out in Canada in time for X-mas I'll look at returning to a cellular connection since they'll have to upgrade the network to accommodate it. 56k though is just too slow.

What mean datamining?

I will play around 200 hours of poker (4 tables multitabling), using trackers (change something trackers?) AND 200 hours to surf the web.

Are you sure 3gb is usualy okay for that?
I can choice between 1gb, 2gb, 3gb and 7gb.

1gb of data = 200 hours of poker, or thereabouts.

datamining is when you use your computer to monitor and record hands (for poker tracker) a lot.

Yep, your gonna need more for browsing internet... Images, flash banners, etc all use a fair bit of bandwidth.
