Re: NL25 Pair+GS turns trips
I don't see any hands that call this bet which you beat (maybe K9). Villian has played this hand like he's drawing, and all draws whiffed. The problem I have here is that you are pot comitted with this bet (or any other reasonably sized bet) and you can't get away from a raise.

Re: NL25 Pair+GS turns trips
You played this hand all backwards. You put in a lot of money ($7.85) pf + on the flop with very little and then, on the turn and river when you in all likelyhood have the best hand, you put in $10.5. These numbers seem off by a lot. Maybe you had your reasons for pf and flop, but you must raise the turn and then push river.

Juanepr,
What drawing hands could he possibly have? |

I agree with Lucky. The turn is a raise, IMO.

Re: NL25 Pair+GS turns trips
Lucky Jim,
I can see the argument for raising turn, however I can't think of a reasonable amount that doesn't leave an awkward amount of money left on the river. Raising the turn to $9 bloats the pot to $34 with $8 of effective stacks behind. |

Re: NL25 Pair+GS turns trips
Get it allin on the turn? It is unlikely the 6 helped his hand, if he is still drawing he can call, on the river you have either won or lost and I can't see him calling with a hand you beat.

Re: NL25 Pair+GS turns trips
Shoving seems excessive given that I still think the majority of his range is 9x and overpairs, I am not convinced that the average unknown calls with a gutter like T8 on the flop, and even if he did, why not let him bluff the river by feigning weakness by calling on the turn?
