didn't get to saturday's game cuz our tickets fell through at the last minute but I was at last nights game. schilling's pitch count was low, but after getting 2 people on there it was time to yank him tito. too bad mr. clutch himself couldn't come through with the bases jacked, either way that 9th inning was exciting as hell.

oh, and anybody saying posada is a little bitch is an idiot.

sorry for the invasion, just had to share:

Sox have 90 wins, and 12 games remaining.
Yanks have 85 wins, and 13 games remaining.

If Sox struggle and go 6-6 the rest of the way, Yanks need to win 11 of 13 to tie.

Man, I hope all that is correct. Every time I pull up the schedule and try to extrapolate things, I screw it up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Congratulations on putting less than 86 years between division titles. Something all saux fans should be proud of...

It's hard to respond to this as it's just too [censored] up.

Got to be objective. Yankees are a better team right now. Will that change when we get Manny back? I don't think so, I think they will still have the edge. We might have to back door this one and hope Anaheim takes them out for us in the playoffs.

Yankees are a better team in a short series; they are very explosive. In a 7 game series, the Red Sox can beat anyone with their pitching and Manny in the lineup up will surely help.

In random news, I sat next to Gabe Kapler of the '04 WS team on my way out to Boston on Tuesday. His achilles is feeling much better, had a great summer managing and is going to make a come back next year. (likely get picked up by a small market team.) He's a super nice guy and wears one helluva ring:

What a weak sauce counter. This guy is an even bigger tool than me. I at least somewhat hide my trolls by asking a question or making a comment about a specific player, this guy just douches it up blatantly and nonstop.

And "saux" isn't clever or funny.

I'm curious, would you have made this post if Papi hit a game-winning single?

No, I probably wouldn't have made the post but I would have still felt that way as that is the way I've felt for a few weeks now.
