ST Louis Harrah's-Poker?

How is the poker scene in St Louis? Is Harrah's the best room?

Depends on what limits/games you want to play.

Harrah's is the best room for NL, Ameristar is best for Limit games

I play 2/5 NL or 10/20 limit.

2/5 at harrahs usually gets pretty deep (1500+)...the 1/2 is a very easy game.. as for limit, im not sure..NL is better at harrahs.

2/5 NL at Harrah's is capped at $500 but does get deep over time, moreso on weekends

I know they used to have (and still could have) a 5/10 NL game that was uncapped

Also keep in mind that you can only buy $500 in chips every 2 hours (4-6pm, 6-8pm, etc...)

Hi... At Ameristar we just raised the max buy in for our 2-5NL (that runs about four days a week now) to a 200-1k buyin.

On the weekends we have been getting around 5-6 1-2NL games and one strong 2-5NL. During the week we spread around 2-3 1-2NL and sometimes one 2-5 but the 2-5 is getting stronger every week (last night was pretty deep stack.)

We are the only room around that allows Ipods while in hands if that makes a difference to you also.

Harrah's has a lot of NL action as well and you have a good choice on where to play.. the action is getting much better at our place on the NL front and you can't go wrong at either place.
