Default Question about large cashouts in Canada

I asked this in the legislation forum but I think this forum is more appropriate...

It's my understanding that sums of money in excess of $10,000 are normally declared to customs before being brought into the country or else the money can be seized. Would this apply to a cashout from a poker site in excess of $10k? Also, are there any tax implications in making regular bank deposits of this magnitude in Canada?

The 10k limitation is in regards to cash transactions, as long as they are not mailing you a box of money you have nothing to be concerned about.
