Default moving up to mid stakes ...

i was reading aba's post in the well and he said he had A LOT of trouble going from 1-2 to 2/4 & 2-4 to 3-6. i currently play 1-2 and i find the games to be pretty good, nothing to tough.

could anyone share their experience with the jumps to 2-4 and 3-6 as well? thank you.

the higher you go the more agro the games get...if you're fine wiht turning it up a notch, moving up will be no problem

i just found that when i was playing 50 & 100 , and now to a certain extent 200, that no one ever folded a hand. Being really aggro seemed like a waste. i guess as you move up it isn't like that as much?

hmm 1/2 to 2/4 NL 6-max is generally considered to be the toughest jump online. 5/10 to 10/20 NL 6-max though comes in second place I would say.

at 400 its still sort of like that. The players still make dumb payoffs but they can bluff & value bet a lot better. 400 is the first level where you will see people float. 600 isnt that different (the bodog 600 is the same difficulty as the stars 400 fyi). 1000 gets considerably tougher and is much tighter. You need to play considerably more aggro to beat it. 2000 forces you to know how to adapt to different styles and lines as well as thin value bet and be able to bluff opp's value bets.

The biggest adjustment I noticed at NL400 was a large increase in preflop aggression with routine squeezing and four-betting happening a lot more frequently than at lower levels.
