Re: Ak hand
Looks like a hit set, 2 pair, or a very strong draw here (up and down straight + flush draw). Most of the times he is ahead and if he isn't ahead you are slightly ahead. If you are slightly ahead the best counter strategy would be call and push the turn (so he doesn't have odds to call his flush or straight draw). If he had 2 pair or better he is never folding a push here.
You seriously have to fold here if he doesn't make those moves too often. Other options are calling and see what he does on the turn. If he bets (no scary cards) you can push (i prefer this over pushing the flop). If the turn is a scary cards and he checks he will call your bet if he is ahead anyway and will most likely fold a draw if you push. It's up to you See how complex this is? You need to have an extremely good read on what he does if he had the straight draw, the flush draw or a hit. He would always bet a hit on the turn, and he could check or bet a draw on the turn. Most likely he would check a draw on the turn and he would never slowplay a turn flush if he hit it. So if he checks the turn this is most likely a weak hand and can you can push it. *sigh* It makes life so much easier if you just fold this flop |

Re: Ak hand
[ QUOTE ]
Well I folded, is this that bad??? Would anyone fold here against this opponent? Does it make it any different that its for 200BB? [/ QUOTE ] This fold isn't bad it's just extremly good and if your opponent knows you are capable of folding AdKd here he might run over you in the next hands... He will bluff more and try to run over you every hand if he knows you can fold this hand so that might be a reason to just call, but imo you are behind here. |
