First of my competion stats throughout my years as a competitative lifter, it copy pastes a bit ugly, and I cant deeplink to the site.
Bænk = bench
Dødløft = deadlift
Vægt = weight
I havent had a deadlift or squat in competion for over a year, but I have a full meet in 3 weeks. Im trying to get back into training squat and dead again. Probably have went for around ½ year with no SQ and DL... stupid, I know...

Personlige Rekorder 3-Kamp
Squat 180 Kg (JM 2005 Århus, 82,5 Kg klassen)
Bænkpres 130 Kg (DM Junior 2006 Århus, 82,5 Kg klassen)
Dødløft 180 Kg (DM Junior 2006 Århus, 82,5 Kg klassen)
Total 480 Kg (DM Junior 2006 Århus, 82,5 Kg klassen)

Personlige Rekorder Bænkpres
Bænkpres 155 Kg (Nordfyn 2007 Bogense, 90 Kg klassen)

In regards to the gains from the equipment. In the bench I have very strong triceps compared to pecs, so can press alot more in the top. This combined with a pretty tight shirt makes the gain compared to raw. I expect no raw benching without bands, chains or boards before after next meet.

Squat, yet again Im not good in the bottom of the lift + I squat fast, very fast, giving a good bounce from wraps and suit.

3) Neither am I, but I assume most people are able to achieve a larger bench before specialization.

As an aside. If you want to focus on purely bench, metal militia is likely a better source than EliteFTS or Westside.

As regards to RAW, the sesion ends in 3 weeks, after that all the equipment will be trown away for a couple of month for some good ol' basis training.

Metal militia is by all means awesome, I hate its a 2 day a week thing though... Did it for some time

Again, thanks for posting this. I am curious as to your height, last time you went without any gear for maxs on these lifts, and the ammount of time you have been training. Regardless congrats. With respect to information please continue posting here (I'd like to read your log especially immediately before a competition) but I feel most powerlifting forums would offer more quality advice on this less general subject.

Around 173 centimeters
Actually the monday bench was a max attempt, had a bench meeting last weekend, that went like
155 2-1 good very good speed(one foot was a bit off the floor)
165 0-3 not good, placed on the belly, easily pressed with good speed, but the bar can go no lower than the sternum (think thats the word) in my federation, so red lights everywhere
172,5 placed good on the chest, but couldnt press it throug the top.
2 years and 8 month of training in a powerlifting club, around ½ a year of fooling around in a fitness center before that.

I also post on a danish forum with lots of powerlifter + my gym has some of the best lifters in the country, there might be an off chance that some of you have heard about Niels Stærkjær

Im very happy with the positive respons so far. No more training before saturday where Im squatting at a league meet (nothing important, but there will be judges).

@ Blackkeys
Im by no means very strong, those I compare myself to do a lot better in SQ and DL, the bench is starting to look good though.

You deadlift 170kg/374lb and you are training with equipment/suits/bands/chains? That is beyond ridiculous. Seriously, get your RAW numbers way way up. Like, deadlift at least 230kg+ at your BW.

This is like doing calculus before knowing any algebra.

The above might explain why I do like I do. Im NOT DL'ing with chains. As explained above, I have had periods of not training DL an SQ

I'm suggesting to build up a much bigger base of strength before bothering with all the fancy stuff.

I'd bet you could deadlift over 220kg in less than a year.

League competition

I was squating today for my club.

I stressed through warmup. something like
20 kg
50 kg
50 kg
suit half on and belt
1x110

fully equipped
2x170

Then the lifts that mattered
185 3 - 0 good lift. 5 kg PR
200 1 - 2 not deep enough
200 3 - 0 good lift 20 kg PR
So all in all a good meet.

nice lifts. diddle may or may not be wrong, it depends on how close you are to competition time. if you arent too close, I lose all teh gear and just use a belt, nothing else. if you are closer its a good idea to "get some practice" with everything, or at least back into the groove of using equipment. The other thing you should devote some time to is proper form, even now that I dont compete much I still devote a little time to improving form if I ever want to go back.
