I don't mean to sound like a frat dick, but someone really bet 1k that you couldn't do this? Half of the people I hang out with could do a 40 of OE in less than 60 seconds, without question. This kid (granted, he is a legend) bet HIMSELF that he couldn't finish a pitcher in under 60 seconds - he finished in 62 seconds, grunted, said "F---- that," grabbed a second pitcher and drank it in 57 seconds. Ten minutes later, he threw up, but impressive nonetheless.

Finishing a 40 in 20 minutes is like a leisurely start to a night....

Also, don't do it on an empty stomach. Eat something first - it's easy enough to do that you don't want to risk something going wrong on an empty stomach. (i.e. you drink too fast and bloat yourself, you throw up and lose 1k)

Do you have to drink them out of the bottle or can you pour it in a glass? If glass is allowed you can pour badly, causing a bunch of head, which will release some of the carbonation, making this way way easier. We slam a lot of beer round here, and that trick helps on sake bombing nights, or 40 oz relays.
