Neteller / Savings Account question
After several posts here on the security of Neteller, I got a little nervous and decided to switch my neteller account off of my main checking account, as several posters have suggested.
I opened up a new savings account at my bank, and am trying to link Neteller to that. However, the test EFT to verify the account didn't work. Can you link Neteller to a savings account, or only checking accounts? I know officialy neteller says savings account, but some posters here have said they use it with their savings account, and I'm curious how they got it to work. |

Re: Neteller / Savings Account question
I simply gave them the routing number and account number from the savings account book. worked fine. perhaps your bank isn't compatible.

[/ QUOTE ] If someone tried to use your Neteller account then they wouldn't be able to get any money out of it since you will only keep the minimum in it except when you are depositing money to Neteller. Then when you report to Neteller about an unauthorized transaction you won't get charged NSF fees (or at least I'm fairly certain that is the case). Its smart to do with Paypal, Neteller, etc... Admitidly its not something I did when I signed up for Neteller though, but if I could do it over again, I would have. |

Re: Neteller / Savings Account question
why don't you just make a new checkings and use that as your main acount, and keep the one linked to neteller empty.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, if i can't get the savings account option to work that just might be the way to go. But maybe I just mis-typed the number! Will try again. thanks for the feedback everyone. |

Re: Neteller / Savings Account question
becarefull, if you have been with your bank for any time longer than three months your bank will pay the overdraft and charge you........this means if someone EFT or (ACH) the money out of your account using instacash at neteller onto a site and then transfered the cash to another player......requested a check and then cashed it at a check cashing place...who owes the money??
You do to your bank!! |
