Default NL25 - JTo in BB, how is my thought process

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($21.55)
Button ($16.90)
SB ($15.50)
Hero ($32)
UTG ($12.55)
UTG+1 ($25)
MP1 ($18.35)
MP2 ($5.40)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB completes, Hero checks.

My thinking pre-flop was I would be out of position the entire hand so check in BB and see what the flop brings.

Flop: ($1) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.5</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $0.50, SB folds.

On the flop - have middle pair, a flush draw, and a backdoor straight draw. This is a strong hand but am probably behind right now - bet 1/2 the pot thinking if villain is weak he will fold, if he calls I am likely behind but I have sweetened the pot incase I improve on turn.

Turn: ($2) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2</font>, MP1 calls $2.

On the turn - I am pretty sure I have the best hand, but want to get any draws out. Bet the pot - this should get everyone out except for a straight flush draw and possibly a set. I would expect a set to re-raise.

River: ($6) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>, MP1 calls $3.

Really don't see the river helping anyone. My bet was sized as I wanted a call.

Final Pot: $12

I'd bet more on the flop - probably the pot. You want to start building a pot for when you hit your draw.
Turn bet size is good. Bet more on the river. $5 or $6. You'll get a call by Ax almost always.

Only thing I change is I pot the flop to build the pot more with my sweet draw.

[ QUOTE ]
This is a strong hand but am probably behind right now

[/ QUOTE ] Even if your opponent has an ace you have the most equity so you're not really behind either.

Yeah more on flop. Villains tend to use small bets on the flop when they have draws, and it telegraphs their hand pretty accurately. Make your bet larger on the flop and the river, you will get a call from most aces.
