south island apparently has world class climbing. I'm headed down in January for that reason.

the whole country is pretty. the only parts you want to go thru quickly is the drive to picton except for stopping at lake taupo and maybe rotorua if you like to see hot pools.
lots of farm and cow country in the north island.

I live in Wellington, not alot to do in in Wellington but if ya drive thru I spose ya gotta go up and down the cable car, maybe a tourist thing but everyone seems amazed by it.

Auckland: Skybungee off the skytower.
Mt Maunganui(sp?): Touristy place but dont think there is uch to do there. Ill find out when I head up at NewYears.

Rotorua: Luge and a few other tourist activities.

Kaikoura: Whale watching
Queenstown: Main tourist destination, lots to do.
Other: rest of South Island Ive herd is alrite.
