Default My buddy claims that Mig_net scammed him for $200

This comes from a good friend of mine who wouldn't lie.

Some guy claiming to be named Mig_net or mig.com contacted my buddy through chat on UB looking to trade money from tilt to stars. My buddy agrees to $200 although mig was looking for more. My buddy claims the guy won a WCOOP title and said he seemed legit. My buddy ships the $200 (Mig was allegedly looking for more but my buddy only agreed to $200) on FT and waits for the return on Stars. This was Friday night.

The money never comes back on stars but Mig allegedly exchanged cell phone number with my buddy and Mig allegedly calls my buddy on saturday from Foxwoods asking him to WU more money up to him because hes busto. Obviously, my buddy tells him he is f'n insane and to beat it.

Was my buddy bamboozled or could this have actually been this Mig dude?

I think I would bet my left nut against $4 that it wasn't really mig.com, aka James Mackey, who ripped your friend off.

Thats what I told him. Kinda wierd that my buddy fell for that scam. Oh well, $200 is a drop in the bucket in my buddy's roll. If it were me, I would be pissed.

Mig should know someone is screwing with people using his name.

My buddy is in my office right now and wants me to reply.

He listened to the link. My buddy states that the call came from a restricted number so he didnt get a number coming up on his phone when he took the call. He obviously cant tell if the voices are the same.

All in all, I hope my bud learned a lesson to not trade $ without trusting the other person. I told my friend to create a 2+2 account and at least do the transfers with trusted people from this community from now on.
