I have recently gotten in touch with my inner Jew and am looking at places I can cut costs for my WSOP trip. I was wondering if it is even possible to pull this off or will they have security guards roaming and waking me up?

I look forward to your appearance on CSI as "Guy dead from heat stroke in Car". Get Marg Helgenburger as your CSI if you can.

Since you have wheels, why not just get a room at some dump like the plaza or fitzgeralds? I guarantee it's not worth saving $35/night trying to sleep in a fscking van. Try to cut corners on food or something.

I think even if you save $1500, by that point you'll be so deranged that you have absolutely no shot in whatever tournament you enter.

I've done this as well. I went to Vegas last spring and drove everywhere looking for accomodations. Everyone was booked. A shady place in the downtown area wanted $180!! Slept in the Atlantis Resort parking lot for a few hours till security came and made us leave. Then went to Imperial Palace and slept in the parking garage, without being bothered.

This also happened this past All-Star break. It was much hotter than the previous time though. I was supposed to stay with a friend but he flaked on me. Of course everywhere was booked. Went to the Best Western by the arena but they were booked until morning. Slept in the parking lot. It was pretty hot and my throat was sore when I woke up, but other than that it was o.k. Got checked in the next morning and everything was better.

Sleeping in the airport sounds like the best idea given so far. I'd try to sleep in a bathroom stall rather than the car.

This is really a terrible terrible idea. The heat will make it truly unbearable. Try this in march or something.

Excellent point about the weather and I hadn't even tought of that angle. I just checked the forecast, 105 Monday... I highly recommend a cheap rat hole motel with AC over car-sleeping.

OTOH, if you do insist on sleeping in your car, this will be of interest to anyone unlucky enough to be seated at a table with you:

I happen to be in LV now and I happen to have a box of this with me for just such occasions.
