well, they payday loan industry essentially charges 20% for a 2 week, though that varies slightly from state to state. But lots of people are falling all over themselves to pay 1200 in two weeks for a thousand today. So a 6% vig to gamble when its the only way, maybe not that crazy.

Just went to Walgreens. They had like fifty of each denomination $100, $50, $25. I bought three of the $100 Gift2Go cards and just finished using them to deposit to Stars. Worked perfectly.

They say on the package in bottom left corner IDT and on the back the fine print says Marshall Bank N.A.

The trick is to get a brand that is accepted outside of the US. It says on the back of the package "Card can be used wherever Visa debit cards are accepted at millions of locations worldwide, including online".

Oh, the $100 cards have a special $5.95 rebate too so even the fee can be eventually reimbursed if you are into rebates and the hoops you have to jump through. I am too lazy to fool with them.
