I wondered this same question. Iphone uses OS X and FTP has a mac version. However, I don't think Iphone will run just any application. Also, as far as US players are concerned, I don't believe there are any options for a java/web based poker client.

UB is rumored on some "personal blogs" to work on cellphones.
Poker room for fact does but only limit holdem for its easy bet, check, fold options. But now Poker Room is for non-US players =(

You may find more expertise in the software or computer forums. I wouldn't be surprised if it was discussed prior to your post

Yeah, Pokerroom definately does. But as stated before, they say "NO" to United States players.

Pokerrooms had a Java quick set up if you didn't want to download. So I'm pretty sure you could do it on an IPhone.

You can do anything on an IPhone. IWant one.

Doesnt AP have java based tables. Its been awhile since I played there but I think they have cash tables but no tourneys that are java based.

I want one too, but what about texting? It doesn't have a physical keyboard, can't imagine the virtual one allows for typing methods other than the ol' 'one careful fingertip'. I hope I'm wrong, and they found some awesome inventive resolve to this issue. However, the commercial seems mum about it, and considering that this is the most common, if not only, concern raised by those interested, I think they would have highlighted the solution in the commercial, if there was one.

This thread is dead. First off the iPhone has limited capabilites. 2nd, it will be a long chance that Apple approves a 3rd party poker app. All apps for the iPhone actually have to be endorsed by Apple. This discussion is more likely on a blackberry or other Windows mobile phone.

On the iPhone? Not anytime soon
