Theft Of Lost Property I'll give you that common sense indicates that it should be "finders keepers", but considering that it is very easy to determine who made the last transation, and obviously who left the money, OP could face legal issues and doesn't appear to have a leg to stand on.

Just called the 1800 Wells #. They said that there is nothing they can do over the phone, but that I should take it to a nearby branch because if the person reports that they just left the money to Wells Fargo the Fraud Protection will look it up.
Thats no big deal because I like going into the branch and talking to the cute girls who work there. Last time I was in there, I got to talking about online poker with one of them, and she said that I should play in the world series of poker and I told her about my cash and she was able to look it up in my account to confirm, haha
