Default 200NL - QQ overpair facing resistance from a nit

Villain in this hand is FundMyAudi, possibly the biggest nit regular at 200NL on Full Tilt. I have him at 16/12/2.7 over a good sample size. I'm just really not sure what I can put him on in this hand. He's fairly straightforward and nitty, so I don't think he has a bluff too often. There aren't too many sixes in his range, and I think he bets less on the turn with 55/33/6x (though maybe I'm reading too much into bet sizing). I also think there's a good chance he would just slowplay the flop with 6x or 33. I've never seen him slowplay AA or KK preflop, so I'm not too worried about those. On the other hand, I don't think he's playing a worse overpair this strongly, and there aren't too many semibluffs he can be on. In the end I decided to shove, because F it, I have queens, but is that the best line here? Am I just overthinking this one?

I am just wondering something as a total newbie.

Do you bet hoping it would be called here, or hoping it would be folded?

If you bet hoping it would be folded, and if he is a nit (and doesn't slow play AK), isn't it better to just call, so that he can bet it again? I am not saying it is wrong, just want to learn what you think.

I'm betting hoping to be called by worse pairs in this situation.

its seems very unlikely that hes making a move on you here given that you raised UTG. I guess my questions would be, can JJ-AA be in his range? and, do you guys have any history relevant to this hand? yes answers to either of these might make this a really cut and dry CRAI spot.

If the answers to both of these are no. i would fold the turn and say "lol nits" to myself. If this was a blind battle, CO vs button, or button vs Blinds i would say fold like never and ur line is good.

Why don't you bet the turn ?
I think his range is mostly made up of PP here.
He is folding to the ch/r without a boat and calling with it.
I would bet/fold here

So basically you think that he would check it down if he had a smaller pair, and bet if he had a set+, so by betting you lose to the set and win against pp right?

Basically, then, you could check/fold, check/raise or bet, but would never check/call?

And it all depends on what? Do you first decide to whether or not put your money in given his range, then if you will put it in, you find out how you can put it in against hands that beat you AND lose to you, and proceed accordingly?

IT might seem a bit complicated but I need to do similar decisions all the time (Big PP vs. small card flop situations) and I want to know how the thinking process should go.

I may just fold the flop in a vacuum.
