A couple of years ago, when I was still in college, I worked for the University as a Apartment Manager (best job ever!). Another department the Dean of Student Life handled all student "crisis" situations- And they put me in charge of "Facilitating Housing Affairs"... I boxed up rooms on campus which students lived in which they "would not be returning due to various reasons". Until I graduated, I boxed up both male and female rooms of students who died, suicide, or couldn't return to campus for legal reasons (usually they were caught with drugs or vandalism or were in jail)... They school did this as a service to the family that would be effected by the events.. For the students that died we (another Apartment manager and I and usually a roomate/friend of the deceased) would throw away anything we thought family didn't need to see. This included porn (tons of it) and various sex toys, weed stashes, bongs, condoms, ky..whatever... When the family would come and pick up the stuff we would load it up for them- every family member we did this for was so thankful., I many times either a brother/sister would pull me aside and ask "which box is the porn, bongs in I don't want my mom to see it"...

I used to be a caretaker in a old farts apartment complex. They have this "I'm OK" program where they hang a little note (like a do not disturb sign) outside their door at night and remove it in the AM. If it's not out when it's supposed to be, we entered the apartment.

Only found a dead one once. Most times people just forget. Stupid old people...

Sounds like you just need to do that with your apartment manager people.

LOL everything has gone downhill since you professed your dislike of Chipotle. I have no doubt they are poisoning your food if you still eat there...I tried to warn you but you wouldn't listen.

In other news this post made me sad. It's okay to ask someone to do that for you but if my friend who was depressed asked me, I'd probably become very suspicious.

I dont have any porn/sex toys, I just d/l it to my computer and del it. I think though, that sooner rather than later I will draw up a will that says my big safe should never be opened, and just disposed of, anythign incriminating is in there. Any sensitive material on my puter is encrypted anyways, so I dont have much to worry about.

i've been very vocal about my dislike for chipotle for years on OOT.

this is my point, i don't want to alarm my buddy, and i certainly don't want it turning into an ODDJOB SUICIDE WATCH! type thing. i just want to make sure if i ever kick it, my family doesnt' find my donkey porn and 24" strap on dildos.

I'm still trying to figure out why no one has responded with the obvious -- you're dead, who cares what they find?

So my family finds some porn vids and a bag of weed. Big freaking deal. I'm dead. I think they'll get over it....

f it, when i die i ain't gonna be embarrassed, whatever i have when i peg it.

Surely if my family grieves my loss, whatever they find shouldn't affect that? and if it does, then they are the weaker party.
