I'd say "no," but they should. Americans in general are unbelievably uptight about sex and sexuality in general. We would much rather our kids be abusing/selling their prescription Ritalin and shooting each other with sub-tactical nuclear weapons than buying condoms to use while having sex.

My wife made it clear that my going to a strip club with my guy friends for my bachelor party was a huge public humiliation for her. She asked if her brothers could go. I said that would be just fine. It turns out that was supposed to be a rhetorical question. Shows what I know.
