I've seen Matt Hughes playing 1/2 plenty of times on FTP. Bruce Buffer as well though he seems to like the MTTs. The waiting list the other day for Hughes' table when he was on was > 20.

I for one am hoping Hughes will start wearing Full Tilt branded clothes to his fights, it would be awesome to get the whole MMA/Fight crowd hooked into poker if they aren't already. Stock the pond...

Gambling sponsors are probably banned by the UFC.

??? The UFC is owned by the principal owners of Station Casinos. I doubt they consider gambling to be evil.

I don't have any problem with it. Advertising is advertising, I'd rather see Matt Hughes wear a FTP clothing item then Jamie Gold.

During his 1/2 sessions, has he asked his fellow players to read certain bible passages?

MH: Who am I in the story?
2+2: the Whale

I played a donkament with Swick. I didn't know who he was so I kept making fun of him

i've playe a few donkaments with swick as well. i don't follow UFC all that closely, so until this thread i seriously had no idea who he was. he seems to play every day, but i've only been at his table once. he got knocked out 2 hands into that on a nothing special hand so not much to say about that.

If I were one of his fighters, I would have no problem telling him where to stick his chapters. Furthermore, I'd go to Dana and ask to be transferred to Serra's team, because Hughes self-appointment as messenger would interfere with the reasons I agreed to be on the show in the first place. Introducing religion in a secular learning environment with persons of multiple backgrounds strikes me as both ineffective as a teaching method and offensive considering the fighters who have already expressed disinterest seem from the edits to be continually being pestered to take up the good book. It's great that Hughes found religion, but he's stepped over the line by pushing it on others.

That said, am I going to go out of my way to pick a fight with Matt Highes? Obviously not. He'd kick my ass.
