No, he could have flopped a straight or hit the river with 88. I cant see you giving him respect for either of those holdings and people do crazy stuff all the time. if he flopped a straight well tough luck if he hit a set well tough luck.

I must be the biggest nit here b/c I usually dont like playing anything less then AJo OOP. But 22 here is way better ... please give me some info on why ... especially after 2 limpers?

because you will have initiative in the pot.
(take some downs with Cbets) while position is important, a pocket pair like 22 is almost useless if you don't hit a set. And if you do, you will be payed off better if you raised pre flop. I raise any pocket pair from any position if it's not raised to me ( no matter how many limpers and w/e position ) |
