if utg was full stacked it would be better, as played you dont have much turn FE

Glad it worked for you this time, but for your sake I strongly recommend you take this play out of your arsenal. Shoving the flop with FD + pair is far more +ev than shoving the the same on the turn. The reasons should be obvious. As other posters have mentioned above, I think you are overestimating both his range and your FE on the turn.

I actually think doing this on the turn against good players who can make laydowns isn't that bad, as they know I'm less likely to shove turn with a draw.

That said, this particular case was spewy. The moron that villain was would call with most pairs and everything better than a pair and that is too many hands.
