AKJ7s
Question about starting hand selection... does anyone else here consider hands with three high cards (A-T) and one bad low card (678, i.e. not wheel cards) playable from LP if the hand is suited to the ace?
I find myself playing these hands sometimes and have been trying to decide whether this is a leak. Generally speaking I play these hands with the expectation that if I get a flop with two high cards and a low card, the backdoor low may add equity against some high-only hands that would (in Omaha Hi only) be favored over my hand because of its dangler. But do I lose too much high-side equity by having a dangler? |

Re: AKJ7s
yea, from LP against a table i have an edge on i limp it. 3 broadways with a suitted A = money sauce. especially against ppl who havnt learned where the fold button is, call 2pr all the way down, and chase inferior FDs.
very profitable for me over the last 20K hands |

Re: AKJ7s
I'd never play this hand in a limit game unless in the blinds, or unless stealing w/it.

Re: AKJ7s
Concur. Great to limp with in LP in PLO8 but never in LO8 unless stealing from a REALLY tight table OR if you're playing 3 or 4 handed.
