how do you think child molesters should be punished?
do you think our country's current methods of punishing them are appropriate? given the extremely low ( as i understand it ) rate of recovery, and the damage done to the victims, i think this crime is in a way very very different than other crimes and would like to hear your thoughts.

The recidivism rate is so high that I believe they need to be given life sentences. Maybe they could be given the choice between a life sentence and castration in some cases. Whatever we do, we need to do more to protect the general public from them.

I really think it should be life in prison given the high recidivism rate. I think the point of prisons are more to protect citizens than to punish perpetrators.

I don't see the point in punishing them at all, they should just lock them up and not let them out.
