Default [5/10] 44 on the button, SB 3-bets. Free showdown raise on turn

Villain is TAG.

When replying, it's perfectly okay to say "Standard". Actually, that is what I want to hear.

Villain is TAG yet he's firing 2 barrels?

I'd probably fold the turn because I'm pretty sure villain has more than air here, and I have no idea whether a club is good for us or not.

folding the turn is bad. we're ahead a reasonable amount of the time and we picked up a flush draw

I don't use free showdown lines because smart TAGs and many LAGs can exploit it (by 3betting strong draws on the turn) and it's hard to find the right spots. also some good MHSHers say they suck

I would like it a lot more if the turn was a spade or heart, because then we have a chance of folding out a better PP

I just call down here and expect to be 3 barreled a lot on this board texture

wow you 100% CANNOT fold the turn here. wow no. and yes a tag will often fire two barrels with ace high because it's very often the best hand.

i would not raise the turn simply because I think he'll 3bet with hands with no club too often. I'll usually call and decide on the river.

Would like the raise more on a non-club, personally.

I overlooked this but it is very key
we don't want to put in multiple bets after picking up a draw

I must be way too weak/tight in these spots.

So a good line would be to call turn, and call river if it isn't an A/K/Q that's not a club? Maybe fold a non-club 9 as well?

Depends on the TAG. Would he 3 barrel KQ? Would he valuebet AK? Against me you could fold the river UI.

the 2 key purposes of a fsdr are to fold out better hands and to extract extra value from a draw right? I'm talking heads up, multiway it can also be for hand protection.

it is rare to find spots to use this play in aggressive shlhe games because noone folds anything and everyone bluffs their busted draws with the initiative.

some hyperbole there but you know what I mean

also like I mentioned in an earlier post we could get pushed off the best hand by a semibluff, which is a FTOP disaster

Yes, folding the flop is standard.
