There are mounts for much, much cheaper than $300. Search amazon.

[/ QUOTE ]

the 300 is for the ones that have like rotating arms, for the ones that just mount on the wall, i am looking at something much cheaper

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...amp;adid=17662

the question is just whether or not the rotating arm is worth it, from what i got so far, they aren't that popular... so i guess i'll go with the non rotating one and save myself a buy in?

also is it worth it buying this TV for 300 dollars more? that's 1/8 of the size for 1/4 more price, does the 5" really make the difference in TV viewing?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's not actually only 1/8th larger. The diagonal measurement is 1/8th larger, but the actual viewing area is much bigger. My screen is 92 inches diagonal, but in the viewing area I could fit 4 of my mother's TVs(42-50inches not sure exactly).

mine was 350, it has an articulating arm that extends out 21 inches, and you can rotate the TV however. for us, it was well worth the money, but it really depends on how the room is set up.

fwiw I mounted the tv myself into brick, it wasn't that hard.

Check out the mounts from Monoprice.com - I got mine or ~ $50 from there and it articulates and moves away from the wall. A comperable mount from Best Buy was like $300. They have great cable prices too...

First, any particular reason you are so interested in Westinghouse. You can get TV's with significantly better picture quality for not much more. Furthermore, paying for 1080p is a waste of money unless you will be sitting closer than 6' from the TV. Tell me a little more about what you will be using the TV for, viewing distance, etc.

As for mounts, go to www.monoprice.com. They definitely have an articulating mount for like $70. It won't come with good instructions and I have heard stories about it missing one bolt and people having to go to the hardware store, but it is worth the money save.

Edit: bnothro beat me to it

here's mine

it doesn't come out and turn, just tilts on the horizontal axis

Sweet TV. Why do I find it so funny when people mount their TV over the fireplace? Everyone I know who has mounted a TV on the wall in the same room as the fireplace has done it. Everytime I've seen it I have looked around and it has been the best place to mount it, so that makes sense. Is it possible to even have a fire anymore?

Aqua,

I'll almost promise you that's a gas fireplace. Daryn can still turn on light switch and have a fire.

His bigger problem is that he needs some decent media shelving or something instead of that little table .
