The slowness of these is potentially putting players like you on such tilt that now I kind of hope they don't add turbos.
For those who just don't care and can just be patient I think it might be +EV to have everyone else going "Man oh man...so....freaking....sloooooowwwww."

I remember playing some of the MTT's and satellites on Empire back in the day. They didn't get many players. Maybe 20 or 18 or something sometimes. And they had a super-slow and f'ed up format. Top 1 got the seat or top 3 paid money or something...but once it got to 2 tables, meaning the start of the freaking tourney, it had to go to hand-for-hand.
As you can imagine, going hand-for-hand at the beginning of a 20 player tourney when only the top 3 get paid is beyond retarded.

And there was always some guy on the other table taking FOREVER. Would always get 2 or 3 players just flipping-out at the slowness of hand-for-hand stuff and just start randomly pushing any 2-cards to get it over with.

Man I miss those. SOOOO +EV to just sit there and play on other tables while waiting for the next hand while half your opponents were going all ADHD and freaking out.

I think I'm with you, bob...

I had a rough go of these at the beginning because I didn't adjust to the speed - I was in turbo-mode from playing $12/180's...

I started out pretty much 0/12 in step ones (finished 3rd / 4th a bunch, but no step 2 tickets...)

I then sat back and watched the play, and figured out that I needed to adjust to the speed.

The other problem I've had with them is losing the drive once I have the replay ticket in hand. Dumb-Dumb-Dumb.

My stats so far:
Step 1: 35 played, 10 Step-2 tickets, 7 Step-1 Replay, 4 4th place finishes
Step 2: 11 Played, 3 Step-2 Replay, 3 Step-1 Replay

So I'm down about $150 in them so far, with a few tickets 'in the bank'... Over this tiny sample size, I'm getting a ticket of some sort in about 60% of the tourneys I'm playing in, which includes a really slow start from really bad play.

I'm hoping they do add cash steps / Sunday Million steps - I can definitely see them being profitable over the long haul...

OT

I hardly ever play anymore cuz of work...but this is something that has actually gotten me excited about playing either late night or during the weekends.

I've never played in the sunday millions but would try to play every week if they created STEPS to them. really wish Stars would get off their hardline stance about STEPS to millions n add them along with cash STEPS

Just noticed the first 3 steps of the APPT Steps are turbos.. was it like this from the start or did they just change this? Either way I hope this means that they'll do the same thing with the first 3 steps of pca.

I think they have always had them as turbos

PAGING PSBRYAN

Since u guys don't seem to have any interst in the Millions STEPS idea can you at the minimum at least create one or two turbos STEPS for each PCA level. I can't understand any reason not to. If people don't want to play the turbo version there will still be plenty of regular STEPS for them to play.

This kind of strikes me as a no brainer given you guys have turbos offered for every other sat/mtt/sitngo.

The slow slow play and stalling/nit fests are putting me on massive life tilt.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD A COULE OF TURBOS FOR EACH LEVEL BEFORE I KILL SOMEONE OR MY LAPTOP

THANKS
CDS
