They have cancelled classes at the business school (which I attend) at Iowa once in the last 100 years. This only happened because a tornado ravaged downtown Iowa City and kids didn't have places to sleep.

Though yea, a foot of snow and negative degrees outside they should cancel. You need to get some extra commuter students who can't make it in on the roads. Kids can always walk from their near campus apartments to class.
