Default ATo TP check/raise gets 3-bet

Villain is an unknown. I've been heads-up against the other guy at the table for awhile when Villain sat down. This was maybe his 7th hand or so.

I dont think you can check fold an ace here in any situation... What was the read on the button? Not sure if 3 bet out of bb oop is the right here pre. At any rate if you felt strong enough about the hand to c/r the turn when making your hand then there is no way you can check fold the river here.

Why not just donk the turn? I think you'll get called down by lots of worse hands, avoid giving free cards, and showing down when behind is 3BB instead of 4.

It's not a donk but I agree you want to bet the turn in this hand. I think 2 bets will go in better if you bet/call than if you checkraise and get called.

Usually I will just bet the turn. I just mixed it up a bit here, since many villains will bluff at the Ace but may not call a turn bet.

For real, kahntrutahn, it's not as simple as "call...next." If it were that easy then I would not even bother reading these boards, much less posting.

I think you can make a case for folding if you know the guy its actually fairly hard for us to be ahead on the turn given the action and every sort of spewy draw 3 bet just got there. He'd have to be a fairly sick puppy to not be beating us on this river.

It is that simple in this case drew... if you paid to see the river, you should pay to see a showdown. ITS THAT EASY
