Default 5/10 HU with top pair

I played about 50 hands against this villain. Didn`t know what to think about him yet but he seemed ok.
This is probably the 6th time he open-completed his SB. He always potted the flop when checked to in this situation and it`s the 4th time I c/raised him. He always folded. This is the 2nd time in a row I c/raised the flop to 60 after he completed.

5/10 1k effective stacks

Villain completes OTB/SB.

I check my BB w/ Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Flop comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check. Villain bets 20. I raise to 60. Villain raises to 200. I?

You have Q5o dude. Find a better spot.

I've been doing this a bit more lately too (c/r flop with a weak tp type hand and sometimes second pair hands after a pf limp when we are in bb). I'm not sure if it's good or not to be honest. I think I prefer the flop c/r on a less drawy board though cuz when he calls, we are really screwed on the turn oop and we might as well do this with total air.

Don`t really get your reply tbh. We have TP with a decent kicker HU. You prefer to c/c the flop? Lead?
Now that villain 3-bet what range are we giving him and what is our best response?

I much prefer a lead I think c/r sets up his range so you are behind much more often when he continues. Just lead he will call with a million worse hands HU.

Have you been c/ring him a lot, do you think he is going in with a worse hand on average then Q5 on this flop? I can see players I would make this play against but it would not be often.

Yea. As stated in my op I c/red him a decent amount in asimilar spot. I can`t say for sure he was ready to play back at me with air but it was certainly more than possible.

I really dislike the flopcheckraise. What is your plan on the hand if he calls your checkraise? Betting the turn? Check/folding? check/calling? I think all options are about equal so you donīt have +EV decisions.

=> Bet/call Flop.
