rofl, it sounds like i missed a pretty awesome ending. Some people need to go, not just mclaren, but people higher up at the FA, this is just disgusting.

Jose Mourinho is 3/1, don't think he'll go for it though

They gave a list on Sky News from some bookmaker, can't remember who the other possibilities were for what prices or which bookmaker don't think they said which one though

Mourinho said he's too young to manage Portugal. I highly doubt he's going to take the England job.

I would be shocked beyond belief if they hired Mourinho. Mostly because it would be an awesome hire.

I liked this from the BBC's recap:

and what England deserved for one of their most inept displays in living memory.

[/ QUOTE ]

Steve Mclaren was made English coach and we didnt qualify and played [censored]. What an earth shattering surprise. He needs to resign and the nepotists yesmen and jobsworths that appointed him need to resign also.

This has been a tragedy for English football the most tragic element being how predictable this farce was from the outset.

[/ QUOTE ]

That was an easy group too. LoL . . .

A manager is only responsible for so much. England's "golden generation" deserve to shoulder the majority of the blame. It's not as if England set the football world on fire under Sven or past managers. Instead of blaming each successive manager, England fans need to realize that their team is overrated.

Im not slating the manager for failing to win a trophy, but for failing to even qualify. England might not be world beaters but at the least we should have qualified from the group.

Yes Sven came in for criticism, some of it deserved some of it not.

The scope of Mclarens failure is well beyond any of Svens short comeings.

Also if a team is consistently playing below its capabilities then that is totally the responsibility of the manager. That is what being a manager is all about. A good manager gets his team to raise its game and uses tactics that fit the strengths of his squad. This is exactly what Mclaren has failed to do.
