My first year in FF I took over someone elses team.

In my keeper league I kept Carson Palmer cause he was one of the few good players on the team that I took over. My question is with Carson as my main QB in a 1 QB, 10 team league when in the draft should I start looking at picking up a backup QB?

You could easily get someone that'd be fine as a backup in 10-12, usually there's a Leinart/Favre/Cutler/Smith type of player there and you're mostly done with your key position players by then.

For any of you with KUBIAK, were you happy with the results after the draft? I think I'm going to stick to my rankings and use that for tough decision spots like the Alexander/Parker/Westbrook one I mentioned earlier. Unless I messed something up, looks like they have Westbrook #3 overall

Please rate my team. First draft since 2005.

8 teams. QB RBx2 WRx3 TE K DEF BNx3
QB: TD 4. INT -2. 1 per 20, 40+ TD 1, 50+ TD 2, 400+ yd game 3.
RB/WR/TE: TD 6. 1 per 10. Fumble lost -2.
Rushing: 40+ TD 1. 50+ TD 2. 200+ yd game 3.
Receiving: 40+ TD 1. 50+ TD 2. 200+ yd game 3.
Kicking: FG 50+ 5, 40+ 4, 39- 3. FG miss -1. PAT +1.
DEF/ST: standard except shutout is 7 and 46+ allowed is -7. Any TD 6.

4th overall pick.

1. Frank Gore
2. Chad Johnson
3. Marvin Harrison
4. Marc Bulger
5. Travis Henry
6. Bears D/ST
7. Lee Evans
8. Thomas Jones
9. Adam Vinatieri
10. Brandon Jacobs
11. Jon Kitna
12. Chris Cooley

QB Bulger
RB Gore
RB Henry
WR Chad
WR Marvin
WR Evans
TE Cooley
K Vinatieri
D Bears
BN T. Jones
BN Jacobs
BN Kitna

I was planning on taking an RB with second overall pick but the backs off the board (LT, SJax, Gore, LJ, Addai, Westbrook, Shaun, Bush, Rudi, Parker, Maroney) were all in a higher tier than the ones available IMO (McGahee, Edge, Henry, Benson, T. Jones). So I took top players at other positions, which may be critical in a league this shallow.

Thoughts?

Henry 5th is stealy, IMHO.

Bears D is like awful, awful pick. Looks good, but I think you took K plus D way, way too high.

WOW, how can those guys be available there? That's CRAZY! All of them went in the 2nd round in my draft. Actually Henry was the last pick of the 12 team first round. Which by the way, noone has commented on my team I posted above earlier today.

Here's a team I drafted yesterday. 12 team, no ppr, yardage bonuses, passing TD's worth 5, all others 6. We start 1, QB, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K, 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 flex RB/WR. I had the 6th pick.

6. Joseph Addai, RB Ind
19. Maurice Jones-Drew, RB Jax
30. Reggie Wayne, WR Ind
43. Javon Walker, WR Den
54. Brandon Jackson, RB GB
67. DeAngelo Williams, RB Car
78. Tony Romo, QB Dal
91. Santonio Holmes, WR Pit
102. Jay Cutler, QB Den
115. Randy McMichael, TE StL
126. Brandon Jones, WR Ten
139. Matt Jones, WR Jax
150. LJ Smith, TE Phi
163. 49ers D
174. Olindo Mare, K NO
187. DeDe Dorsey, RB Ind

Thoughts?

[/ QUOTE ]

Seems solid. I don't know I much like the Romo pick though. Were any RBs available? I think you're a bit thin at RB.
